Phil:
Am going out to Chappy for the first time and plan on doing some fly fishing should the winds allow. Sounds like the fishing is pretty good when the sun is down. How accessible and apparent are the rocks at East Beach? Are there places I can get to without a 4wd? What fly did the Bonito take? I have never caught one (or albacore or spanish mackeral for that matter). Are there any size limits for these species? Larry B has raved about the culinary value of the bone, so if I were lucky enough to catch one I’d think about keeping it.
Any other tips on time, tide and place would be much appreciated. Sounds like I should bring my Reel-Time t-shirt too.
Thanks,
Chris Chan
