First - rubber banding a hook to a crab, nice - I'll give that a try tomorrow night on the flats first w/ no weight and then perhaps w/ a splitshot. I imagine the unhooked crab will be pretty active and only needs to be twitched once casted.
As to sliders, yup, forgot about them. I was tossing tabory snake flys w/ my pathetic deerhair head's earlier this year, I think before the worm hatch and was getting strikes on them. For some reason they have fallen out of my repetoire, thanks again - will rediscover them this weekend also.
