Greg,
Greg,
I got lucky with the Blue, I was using a large chart clouser with
15lb leader. I was using the hand over hand retrieve at a fast clip,
When I saw it was a Blue I eased off the tension, when I got it to
shore the fly was in the corner of the mouth- very lucky. That was
the only Blue I got, I had to leave just when the fish were really
stacking up. Give Robbins Hill a try next year, as you paddle out
you will see the sand bars and deep water pockets. I've had the
best luck on the incomming tide. As for the edge of the flats
I have never fished the end, but have heard that it is quite good.
Good luck.
