Another place to check out starting real soon now is anywhere along the
beach front and also Sandy Point in the wildlife refuge, among the rocks.
Once the water starts to cool down, both bass and blues (some quite big) make
dawn forays into the surf line. My recent experience has been that places with
structure along the beach tend to out-fish the Merrimack sandbar area in the fall,
at least for the shore fishermen.
