I put the Kayak in at the end of Nauset Heights road. There is a town boat
landing there. From there I paddled past the yacht club and out the the jaws.
I didnt go over the surf, but had good success at the last outgoing current
at the inlet mouth. Saw a surfcaster bring in a big pig on mackerel, but
not the conditions for a fly out there. When the tide turned back in, I blasted
back to the landing. Much better going with the tide, as I imagined you
have discovered as well. The trip to the inlet actually didnt take much
time. Instead of renting the Kayak, have you considered pulling the trigger
