First - as I undersdtand it there is no bag limit for commercial fisherman so
any limit there is a good thing.
The 2 fish per day issue is a bit trickier - in my mind, taking 2 mid size 28" fish per day is stupid; however if we lowered the size and made a slot limit - say 18-24" - then the population should be able to withstand the fishing pressure. Add a trophy
tag - say 5-10$, which you must have in your possesion to keep a trophy over 36", so you can keep a big one if you must, and we start to duplicate the snook/redfish mgmt that Florida does so well.
Oop's - also close all taking of stripers from April 1- June 1 to allow them to migrate...
