See my post above. Netting is, indeed, destructive, and we don't fish 'em that way.
As to your point on a coast-wide size limit, you are absolutely right, and it's
something we dastardly commercials have been calling for for some time now.
Again, in this fishery, the fairness issue is a non-issue. You are not under
a quota system and, hence, can fish every day if you want. The commercial quota does
not affect recreational efforts one bit. If you were under such a system, you'd have
a gripe, but since the commercial side is still an open access fishery,
nothing is stopping you from jumping into the fray...
