You keep bringing up teh allegation that I want to increase commercial quota.
For the record, I do not. Additionally, I have not seen one source for this
"information". At 35 years of age, I doubt seriously that I'll be retiring
anytime soon, so my interest in keeping bass levels high is keen, indeed. Why
do you suppose that outspoken charter folks like tony tolentino and his ilk
want to see limits lowered and bag limits raised for recreational fishing? They
also want commercial limits lowered. Why? No working FMP has EVER targeted small
pre-spawning fish. When we fight for high limits for all groups, we're looked
upon like Beelzebub himself. Is it untrue that the 36" limit went a long way toward
repopulating striped bass? Why drop it, then? My frustration, Bill, comes from being
the whipping boy for every "conservationist" who happens wet a hook. The current
pressure is without question at an all-time high, but your attempt to single
out comms as the "problem" is without merit and serves only to divide and make
the scenario John speaks of more easily realized...
