If memory serves the date is the 13'th. It was published in a recent MV Gazette.
It's a one night contest that pairs up locals/folks that know the MV beaches with
visitors for a night of catch, count, and release. Prizes awarded for different
catagories/events. Participation grows each year and I think they had over 200 entrants
last year. I do lots of casting from the beaches on MV and have only dabbled with a
fresh water wand. Am planning on getting more serious this year. As soon as I finish
wrapping up the little casting rod I'm working on I'm going to wrap up an 8wt and
start tying some saltwater patterns. Gotta do something to keep the fingers busy
during the cold months. I'll probably give this contest a shot this year.
