I'm on the board for January as well. Of course it was at Scorton's along with the 15 or 20 others who spent a beautiful day there. I got the chance to chat and fish next to folleow reel-timer Dave (Cape Xscape). I only managed one fish and flailed the water hard. Saw one other guy get four and that was it. As far as bait was concerned, I saw a school of what appeared to be sand eels. Dave and another guy both saw it as well. Dave thought they looked more like juvenile american eels; they had incredible action and were about 6 inches long, dark green/brown on top. After Dave spotted them near him, he tied on a long slender imitation and broke off two fish with it. My brother and I both saw a few sea-runs dart by us on the way downstream.
