How many fish do you think are hanging in the creeks during the winter? To ask it another way: are we catching the same small school of schoolies all winter long?
Why wouldn't holdovers constitute a breeding population? I mean, if they don't swim home to the Chesapeake or the Hudson, and they get spring fever or whatever makes a striper horny, then why wouldn't they breed in our waters?
