Dave, you made a good point about the drywall bucket for a stripping basket for a boat. This should work good as it is at your feet, rather than your waist. I have no trouble holding or looping line, and usually have it shoot out, up to maybe 60 feet. my problem is when it gets in the sand or surf. I have spent hours trying to get the lne into a stripping basket. If I could get it to my thigh I think it would work fine. For 50+ years I have retrieved line at about my waist, it's kind of late to teach an old dog new tricks. Two handed, one handed I still can't hit the basket the way I would like, infact I have gone back to letting it get in the sand. The idea of a bungee cord is good. Next thing I need to do, is invent a basket that can be safely positioned lower. Oor a stud, or hanger that you can loop the line on, and slid it off for casting. The group has given me some pretty good ideas. Thanks Art
