This message may seem a little odd but I've been away from saltwater fishing for the past 10 years. Growing up in eastern Connecticut during the 1970's and early 80's, it seems that there were more BIG bass around then than now. I can remember nights when a small bass was 35 pounds and really big ones were in the low to mid 60's and there were a lot of them. My question is where are the big fish (those measured in pounds not inches)? It seems to me that we are in the stage of bass recovery when some really big fish should be showing up.
