Anyone interrested in catching mackerel can find CC bay especilly E of Gurnet Point in the usual Memorial Day weekend spots should head out with the christmas tree rigs now . They are thick between 50 to 80 feet of water E of the GP bouy
Also E end of canal is thick with them now as reported to me twice this week by Canal Station C.G. boarding personnel .You cant miss the fleets of boats.
Yes ,I-We were fortunate to meet up with our armed forces this week on 2 different boats .They were professionel , even jovial, but thorough.
We all know what we are supposed to have aboard but sometimes forget .Have your ducks in a row , They are doing there job to keep us safe.
Apparently as one told me flares with expired dates are a top 10 violation.I checked mine yesterday and surprise ,out of date .glad I was on other boats those days.got new ones now.
BTW mackerel on the grill that have been cleaned and iced are really good that night . Very short shelf life. Dont try to freeze them the cat wont eat them
