A huge school of bass invaded Cohassett today, wreaking havoc on all the work I was going to get done.....They had a massive school of silversides penned up in a cove at high tide and the action was non-stop for about two hours. I had tied up a silversides imitation, based on the blonde patterns I learned on Reel-Time and the bass simply couldn't resist it! Several spin fisherman throwing behemoth blue and white Rapalas managed two fish between them, but the, "Silversides Blonde," took three or four dozen fish, a hit or a hook-up on every cast. The fish closest to shore were smallish 12-16, but I took many over 20" and several over 24". Alas, the biggest was only 26.5", but still it was an amazing day!
