Jetty hopping with eels

I had a couple nice evening jaunts walking from one falmouth pond to another and back, slinging eels along the way. My technique, which needs refinement was to cast along each cove/beach, cast out into its middle once or twice and spend perhaps 5-10 minutes working each jetty; both sides and tip.

My biggest problem in all of this; a perhaps 1 mile, very active round trip of about 2 hrs duration was how to carry the eels as I rambled and explored spot by spot. The standard eel bucket is a pain as I was always backtracking to retrieve it.

It seems that I need some sort of back mounted container that holds 6 or 8 eels and allows mobility for walking, wading, and casting. Suggestions welcome...
