Re: Scott's question about bluefish in the canal. Yes, there are more
blues in the Canal than I have seen for the past 3 or 4 years at this time of
year. They are not really slamming plugs, but mostly chopping baits in half that
people are drifting for bass. So far, they haven't interfered too much with the
bass fishing, but warm weather/water may change that. Of course, to a point,
I don't mind catching them either unless I'm fishing a relatively expensive bait
such as an eel!
