A variation of Tony's eel carrying plastic mayo jar I found to be handy. Instead of
cutting slots in the jar for a belt loop, I just duct tape a loop of small diameter
rubber or plastic tubing onto the jar. I cut the tubing long enough so that I can
hang the jar over the shoulder like a plug bag. Pushed to the back, the jar is
out of the way while casting while access to fresh eels is as easy as changing a
plug. The heavy mono (100#) lid retainer is a good idea. I just drill or punch a small
hole in the center or the lid, pass the heavy mono through the lid and to keep
everything together, tie a swivel on to the end. The other end of the mono is duct
taped to the jar. This has worked for me for the pass several seasons.
