I have spent the past few years chasing stripers in the Portsmouth, NH area on spinning gear. I'd like to try my luck with fly gear. Kittery trading post suggested a 9', 8-9 wt pole ($42), basic reel ($38), and intermediate 8 wt line ($20). Does this sound like a reasonable starter outfit? What else should I know? I don't have a ton of money to invest in this right now. I usually fish from a Boston Whaler in Little Harbor or near the mouth.
