Bill,
5/25/98
Spent monday in the boat at the mouth of the river. Lots of mackeral schools and
herring schools out just beyond the #2 red boay. My buddy, ken and I, spent the
later part of the afternoon chashig a very large school of stripers just of the
north jetty in 12 to 25 feet. They were blitzing up to 75-100 yds wide at a time.
We caught fish on just about every cast. Anything that swam just bellow the water
seemed to work. We lost count as we often do. Had to pull ourselves away to go
home. When we left at 6:30 they were still feeding.

Picked up 22lbs. or 18 macs and 2 herring, tooo many stripers to count.

P.S. What ever happened to the Merrimack meeting??
