6/1 Cotuit

The bottom of Cotuit Bay -- the channel along the inside of Dead Neck/Sampson's Island -- was hot Sunday morning. An amazing blitz of bass hung in the rip in front of Cross Street/Riley's Beach for two hours, with about four fly rodders from shore, and myself and Mike Pajolek in a boat, hooking up on every cast. Didn't matter what pattern. Mike was throwing a red worm pattern and I was throwing a white/Grizzly Deceiver. Bluefish were finicky but there on the outside of the island. dcc
