That was me. I thought after Thursday night's Bonanza it would be an ideal
time to introduce the wife into the wonders of striper fishing. Needless to
say after throwing a jig for a while with nothing, she watched from the beach
chair as I threw clouser after clouser for those two baitfish sized schoolies.
Anyway, I was surprised after your report and the previous days, however, the
place had very few fish. Saw a couple come out on bait, and one guy ferrying
live herring from the Parking lot over the dune down to the shore every 20 minutes
or so. He said he had one over 28 and a few others, but very slow. My buddy
caught one decent and lost another, but we spent a few hours doing it.
Should have been there yesterday - heard that a few times in my life!!
