Thanks David, It put up a tremendous fight. It ran about 150 yards of backing
off of my reel. I was using a 10 Wt rod with a 20 lb. test tippet. I applied
all the pressure that I dared but it just kept running with the tide. I finally
followed it and landed it in about 20 minutes, a 1/4 mile from where it hit.
It certainly made me wish that I had a rod with a second fighting grip to
get more leverage. I had landed a 29" fish just prior to this and it never got
into the backing. The fish had awesome power.
