You can park at the boatramp and get into Joppa Flats about 2 1/2 to 3hrs before
low tide. You can judge this by waiting for the water level to reach the bottom
of the wall before entering or this time of year just going with rest of crowd.
You will go through a dip before reaching the river and note this when the tide
comes in as you will have to come back through it or walk toward the sanitation
plant to avoid getting wet. Otherwise this is a very safe area if you bring a
compass. Chartreuse deceivers and poppers at sunup and sundown work for me.

You can fish the area around Woodbridge Island from the parking lot on Plum Island
but I have never tried it. Mayby someone else could help you with that one.

The beach has been exceptionally well all along the island from the jetty to Auntie
May's. It is a deep beach and the fish do not hold that far off the shore, so
you have a good chance of landing a large fish on a fly rod here.

The sandbar yields large fish but they hold deep and out quite ways and FF is
difficult. However, schoolies can be caught anywhere from the parking lot to the
jetty on an outgoing tide.

The Sandbar is completely different and is
