6/4/97 Horseshoe Shoals

Fished Horseshoe Shoals in Nantucket Sound late morning 6/4/97. Water temperatures were about 56 degrees, wind was blowing 20-25 knots. The seas were pretty nasty, so we were pretty much limited to trolling due east or due west. We picked up four hefty bluefish in about an hour of trolling - one on a Rapala Sliver swimming plug, and three on parachute jigs. I think the big fish are already starting to move out there.
We drifted off Dead Neck between the West Bay and Cotuit Bay channels, casting topwater plugs and caught a bunch (10 or so?) of mostly smaller bluefish and one big fella. It seems like the fish in close have started to shrink.
