Checked out the evening high tide here. Four of us casted for for an hour, right into darkness, without a hit. Looks like this place has slowed down considerably from two weeks ago.
BUT, the good news is that there were many pods of large baitfish creating "nervous water" in close. I suspect they were pogies (menhaden) being chased by either blues or bass. There could be some real good fishing off that beach at high tide until the "pogy boats" come in and clean the place out (which they've invariably done for the past few years that I've been fishing Boston/Quincy Harbor areas). Another great place for pogy runs in the past has been Malibu Beach - Dorchester next to the gas tanks and actually the whole Neponset mouth. But it's been a shadow of its former self for the past several years...
