I only use stocking foot, I fish the Montauk rocks and where thin stocking neo's only,
I will often take parts of an old canvas tent of mine and use industrial contact cement to
glue patches to the sole and heel area to protect against abrasion. I where old large workboots
tied VERY tight to keep out most of the sand. Most of the time my corkers are tied on as well.
The trick to corkers is two drywall screws placed carefully into either side of the boots heel.
I havent lost a pair in years. And Ive been tossed around in the Rocky surf many many times.
I walk miles in stocking foot where my boot foot breatherin have to sit and rest.

Leave those boot foots to the duck boats!
