Hi Pete, I agree with jeff, I love the white water on top of the bars, fish the shallowist areas at the higher parts of the tide. U can use that slope of the beach to site cast at nite for bass, i do this alot, some nites u have what is called fire in the
water, when this happens u can see the fish streaking, they make an flash or glow sort a like a florescent light color. let your eyes adjust to the darkness and what the water looks like, and look for fish by trying to see them flash as they move about.
Fire will also make your fly look pretty weird too, i found a smaller pattern in a yellow or bone color works the best, also increase the lenght of your leader. PS, dont wade in the surf.
