The Canal is a lot better, if you have live herring. I watched two guys about a 1/2 mile east of the RR Bridge, mainland side do very well on stripers on Frday evening around 5:00 PM. I also saw a couple of guys catch a fish around 28" off the reef behin
d the Chinese Restaurant, on chunks. The fish are probably keying on the herring which are still going up the run and the spent herring which are returning from spawning.
