Larry: We had a Mako 262, twin Yamaha 200's out there on Sunday, along with the Maritime. We ran both boats from Couit to Vineyard Haven where we met up with Jamie Boyle on his Hewes Light Tackle 20'. From there we went to Wasque. I got bit off by a blue
right off the bat, but there was a ton of weed, so we left. Found some birds over small schoolies right by the windmill at Cape Pogue, and then blasted down to middle ground and finally to Makonikey. Tide was dead by the time we got there, so we decided t
o cut our losses and head for our "Home Waters" around cotuit/osterville. A good idea. We found small blues 4-7 , lbs. on the flats and some huge bass eager to eat tucked-up right along the beach. Kept one for the grill and released the others, all the wh
ile saying "There's no place like home, Dorothy." We must have run 40 miles only to end up right in our own back yard!
