After years of using bootfoot waders this year I switched stockingfoot. I use Orvis Clearwater with Cabela's flats booties. I tried tradition wading boot but sand was real problem, the booties with gravel ruards are the best combination I have found.
I do not fish surf most of my fishing is river mouths and sounds or bays. This combination is light and very confortable.
