Ray: I fished Monomoy on Saturday. There were fish on the flats, but we saw only one really significant school. The rest were in 2's or 3's and scattered about in different locations. It was very windy, so it was difficult to get the fly and boat into pos
ition. When we did, we connected. Inall we caught maybe 15 fish between the 3 of us. Bigest was 25", smallest 23". Saw one huge blue in about 1 1/2 feet of water. He followed my fly right up to the bow of the boat and I had to stop stripping and let the f
ly sit on the bottom. He pointed his nose right at it and his entire tail and back came out of the water. He must have been at least 15 lbs., but he ingnored my fly after he sniffed it, and wandered away casually.
