If that was you laying out those effortless eighty foot casts, thanks for leaving before I got rigged up....That was enough to send me out looking for a fast sinking shooting head...Boy you didn't miss anything on Sunday...the wind freshened up from the e
ast, and I couldn't get my assortment of floating line, loop-on sink tip and split shot out far enough to make a difference...felt like I was trying to cast a chain!!did catch a handful of fish..biggest only 20"...acted like a real fish for a minute thoug
h. Did you do any better from the boat?
As soon as I get an anchor for my float tube, I'm gonna bring it to the super secret spot...Then it's watch out Bass! I won't care which way the winds blowing.
How far do you suppose a striper can tow a float tube?
Question: Why do all the Fly shops sell floating lines to beginners?
Answer: They don't want you to catch any of the big fish!
In regards to where have all the fish gone; good question.
The funny thing is, in all the places I visited this week, I didn't see any bait to speak of. So to state the obvious, If we can figure out where the bait is, we'll find the fish.
Judging from the postings here, nobody was kocking'em dead this weekend.
Maybe the extra cold weather this week cooled the water enough to send the bait into hiding??
So the real question is: If you were a jillion silversides, where would you be hiding?
I have no idea.
