I caught 15 stripers from 18-22 on thursday's incoming tide on the sandbar just before the mouth near point. we catch most on clousers with sinking lines. i don't think they ticket at hixbridghe but could be wrong. if you shore fish, i suggest you try driving into Tripps boatyard. drive to end on river side and park. follow dirt trail to end of beach piont. fish both sides of point ingoing and outgoings as appropriate.
