Subject: No archive this time
While archiving the first two weeks of July I lost my connection to the server while downloading the near-megabyte of postings in a file called the MBOX. The file was corruputed on both sides -- my PC and the server -- leaving no trace of the 850-some posts you all contributed.
Guess who feels like a rocket scientist right now?
There's no way to recover it but I am emailing the sysadmins at R-T's ISP to see if the old MBOX can be resurrected from a tape back-up.
Meanwhile, here's a fresh board for the balance of July, although I wouldn't be surprised if I have to archive sooner.
Hot, beautiful day here on Cotuit. Didn't make it out for the dawn patrol but will definitely be on the water Sunday a.m. looking for a bonito -- I can feel em coming in this heat wave.
