Hello, Dick "Mac" McQueston here. Until recently I was one of the "lurkeys" as I was under the impression the site was only for fly fishermen. I make an attempt at fly fishing on the windiest days each year and have hooked my hat so many times that the wand stays collecting dust in favor of the spinning and conventional gear(maybe someday I will give it a serious try). I presently live in central Mass. but most days:or nights,find me at the Cape or in Rhode Island after the fish with stripes. I fully believe in catch and relese but have no problem with a fish for the grill now and then. I am not in favor of the commercial season for bass, to many large breaders taken for profit.
I have an 11 year old son, Mike, who also loves to fish, and nap on the side of the canal when dad keeps him up all night. We have had some of our best talks and experiences fishing and dreaming on our night prowls together. I fully enjoy the Bulletin Board and pick up a lot of info here. Thanks for allowing non-flyfishers to join in.
