Hello Reel-timers:
My name is Dave Amaral and I and wife and 3 children live in Taunton Ma.
about 30 minutes to most of shore access ,Cape ,N and S shore.
I fish mostly Cape and Islands and sometimes lakes and ponds and streams .
I work as an electrician in IBEW LU 223 as well as an officer and volunteer.
Have been a member and actively involved in SE Mass TU for several years and find organization to be a great group.
My dad took me fishing when I was 5 and I cant recall ever really being away from water for long.
I presently run a red 20 ft. CC Seacraft "Capexcape" on sides and after owning 9 boats have found this to be the most suitable craft for fishing Cape and Islands.
I and a group of friends fish mostly for Stripers ,blues ,fluke ,Tuna a few times a year.and freshwater ,-trout, bass, ect .I am a so -so flyfisher /tyer and am not a purist ,as I will fish wire , live bait, plugs , and (TU members cover your eyes)even "power bait". I can hear the gasps! :)
Largest fish 250 lb bluefin.
49 1/2 lb striper close to a 50 but not :(
most memorable a marlin slashing at bait 20 yds from boat in crystal clear and tailwalking across stern at 20 ft.
The quest continues. See you on the water
