Are you sure of the I.D.? the description sounds like maybe tunnies showering and or maybe mackeral being chased by larger tuna. They will 'shower', as in a whole boat sized school coming out together, clear out of water. If you have a tower you may see the culprit flashing below them. hey, the big guys gotta eat too. If you are sure it was blue fish it may have been a mako chasing them. the mako loves to eat bluefish.catch a bunch of blues and set up a chum slick and chunk a fly rod out in the slick. if you can get him on a flyrod you better were rubber pants or a diaper cause these guys do some wild manuvers on light tackle. they will jump, tailwalk, cartwheel, all the tricks. just don't get em up too close to the boat cause they have been known to 'fly aboard' and the last thing you want in the cockpit is a pissed mako. better have a leaded baseball bat and be accurate, between the eyes, don't ever grab his tail cause he can turn and bight it. and if he bites his tail while you ar
e holding it it ain't a pretty sight.
