Joppa Flats 7/19

Kayaked around Joppa from say 6:30 to 10 a.m., got four small schoolies around Woodbridge Island. There were lots of boils, both individual fish and small schools, but casting at them didn't seem to do anything at all. In fact, the kayak and the casts seemed to cause some of the swirls as the fish spooked, sometimes as close as 5 to 10 feet from the kayak. Only one boil that seemed to be a fish actually feeding. No particular pattern seemed especially good, but what I was using was all small, size 1 or 2. Didn't see any other fishermen doing much business, either.
