Hi All, I feel violated having to expose myself so soon after posting to the "lost archives".
My wife Robin & I having been retired for the last ten years & live for fishing. In the winter months we live & fish in Port Charlotte Florida for all the usual inshore, flats & offshore varieties.
In june after the Tarpon fishing has about torn out my tendons we come "up north" to NH & fish around the area. We make an annual trip to the cape in the fall & then back to Florida.
I have really enjoyed this BBS & have gotten & given some great advice. In my youth I lived in padanaram and spent the summers on Cuttyhunk. In fact my brother Tyler & I spent the 54 hurricane on the Island. Now There was a storm. My dads boat was anchored in front of the Outdoorsman on pope's Island In new Bedford & the only thing left after the storm was the compass lodged under the bowstem against the bridge.
We fished at night on the "barges" on the beach at Cuttyhunk with tin lipped wooden plugs on linen line flatwound penn reels & bamboo surf rods. You ran down between the waves made your cast & ran back up the barge with the pole over your shoulder & the plug still in the air.
I guess thats enough for now. Protect the resource & it will still be here when we are gone. FOR OTHERS.

Bob leonard
