Just got back from the canal 7/19. Tough getting pogies. Anyway I decided to
take a casual bike ride (with my pole) with my girlfriend. If I saw a good
spot I'd fish it for awhile. First stop around 5pm on the east end. Nice
rip. A canal classic. Immediately had something small teasing me. Would pick
up and drop. After about 20min. I had a nice hit and landed a 25". It's
nice to catch something with the sun out and the boat traffic. Bodes well
for the confidence. Fish for awhile longer in the same spot. Nothing.
Did some bike riding. Found myself across from the cribbin somewhere. Fished
for about and 1 1/2. Nothing. Guy next to me caught a 22". Left around 8.
