Hello,

My nome is John Lytle, I am a transplanted Mid-Westerner who learned to fish for pan fish in Ohio, and then small mouth bass and pike in Canada. I moved to the Boston area 9 years ago, following a girlfriend (Now Wife). We have two wonderful boys age 9 months and 2 1/2 years.

I quickly caught the slatwater fishing bug for blues up in Kennebunkport, Maine, and as Striped Bass popolations rebounded, I have switched a great deal of my attention to them. My family travels to K'port almost every weekend from May to October.

For the past 5 years I have slowly migrated from my spinning and conventional tackle to flyfishing. I will still occassionally pick up spinning gear, but my true passion is getting out on the water before sunrise and flyfishing.

Along with the fishing I am becoming a fairly avid fly tyer of saltwater flies and in the non-fishing months, I get involved in my other hobby, wood working. When I have the space I would like to try building a boat.

I work for a consulting firm in Cambridge that specializes in training, documentation, and performance improvement.

This is a great thread. It has been nice to meet everyone electronically.

-John Lytle
