Yes, have done it in a canoe and a 6 foot dinghy, but prefer my 17' Mako. In case of fog, I always wear a compass. During the summer months, you'll have plenty of company out there, especially if there's alittle moonlite. Nice weather is a plus for fishing as well as safety.
