I've finally gotten around to tying some surface flies -- balsa poppers and Gartside Floating Minnows. But when I test them in the sink the rear (hook) ends sag and the flies end up suspended at a 45 degree angle to the surface. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to prop up the rear end so they flush? Thanks.
PS: The hooks I'm using are 34007's.
