Your information is pretty corrrect. Look for wrecks and hard bottom that can't be worked by the draggers, and hasn't seen any recreational fishing pressure for several months. From now until memorial day you should be able to load the boat. Once the recreational fleet is in the water, it only takes a couple weeks for the catch to drop to a couple of fish per day. Unfortunately, it seems that more of the lobsterman are gillnetting this year which is bad for two reasons: 1. They have been taking almost all very small fish, & 2. they can work the hard bottom that the draggers can't. Let us know how you make out.
