03/11/98 Waders for the salt

A few months ago I happened on this site and the readers were extremely helpful in answering my questions. Here is another and please excuse if the answer is painfully simple. This is my first attempt at flyfishing in the salt. My question is what type of waders should I use? I own a pair of Orvis 3mm neoprene stocking foot waders I use for native brookies and landlocks. Are these appropriate, or should I invest in a cheaper pair of PVC waders. Orvis has a sale on their Clearwater version...$39. I am not stuck on Orvis products in particular. Any input?
