Some of us tend to wander on foot solo on the flats. Pretty quick loop to loop leader changes make it irresistable to cast to decent cudas and sharks. The cudas I've tired out and released with a 6" needle nose pliers ( barbless hooks). The sharks I'm getting closer to hooking, but not yet. And when I'm off the water, it seems that may be a good thing. I use 10 lb tippet in front of the wire so I should be able to break off what I don't want to handle, but in your experience is it as foolish as it sometimes seems to be knee-deep in the water with a 10-35 lb shark or cuda?
