Phil Koenig at Manhattan Custom Tackle ( www.fishdoc.com) sold me a Monic 9 wt. floater last spring.

It's a great line. I've caught bonito with it here on the Cape, and think it casts very well. It is only of use in warm water. Anything under 65 degrees and it becomes stiff and useless.

I've thrown it as Key West permit in August and it performed very well. I didn't, but the line did.

Also, guides hate the line because they can't see your line in the water. But, if you are fishing by yourself, it's a good, albeit expensive line ($75+)
