Nothing heard from my Rhode Island "spies" yet.
If the sea temperature readings at the western LI sound and Castle Hill (RI)
buoys are to be believed, sea temps have dropped to the low 40s,
presumably due to all the crummy weather we've had lately. Of course, readings in shallow bays and estuaries are probably higher.
The good news is that a fair warmup is predicted for later this week with temps
hitting 60 or higher. We need a number of days of air temps in the 50s or above to trigger anything other than spotty action, IMHO.
