Re: Sea Run Brown Trout?

I've put in a lot of hours this winter in the Cape southside estuaries
this winter with only one fish to show for it, but it was (is) all very worth
it. I got a sea-run brown some 6 weeks ago at the mouth of the Mashpee
river, on a shrimp pattern. A couple of months before that, I had a strike
at Moonakis which took me well into the backing before the leader
parted. Never saw the fish....

I think the old adage of 100 hrs per fish was coined by an optimist,
or maybe in better times. On the other hand, the southside ponds
are beautiful in winter from a canoe, and you will most likely run into
schoolies occasionally. Let me know if you catch one.
